Dear Millionaires,
We have received your name and story from a book,
magazine article, Internet story, newspaper article, or from somebody
you know as a possible article for out magazine. First, let me tell
you what we are looking from you. To do this I need to compare our
magazine to other business magazines and explain the concept of our
magazine and what we are trying to do with it. I hope that you will
entertain the idea of being interviewed for $1,000,000aire Blueprints.
$1,000,000aire Blueprints is not a magazine telling people how to
have a positive attitude or how to act in a sales presentation. We
do not give our readers lines to say that will turn objections into
sales. Our publication will not tell our readers how to dress for
success or how to get organized. These things have already appeared
thousands of times in thousands of other business magazines…for the
last 25 years or so. I know because I think I have read them all.
It is not a magazine containing stories about people who want to get
the reader curious enough to purchase their books, tapes, and seminars,
promising the “secrets” that will make them rich.
$1,000,000aire Blueprints is
a national business magazine that will be distributed on every newsstand
throughout the country. We want to fill our pages with the stories
of successful men and women who started, with or close to nothing,
but in spite of the odds, made it to millionaire status. We want the
stories to be motivational and convey feel-good experiences. But more
importantly, we want the stories to teach each reader how to make
more money and be more successful.
Our questions will be direct as
we are seeking specific details, examples, information, and ideas
from you that helped you get where you are today. We want you to remember
your “defining moments” that took you to the next level in your business.
We want to know how you found financing to start your business in
the very beginning. We want to know how you enticed your customers
when you were just starting and how you continue to get new customers.
We want to know your good decisions as well as your bad decisions
and what you learned from them. Have you gone bankrupt and how did
you pull out of it? Knowing what you know what would you have done
differently? Did you have any mentors? Did you have any help? What
can you tell me in your interview that just may be the one thing a
reader needs that will change his or her financial situation?
We go
into every interview with this mind-set; We are sitting in a room
with a successful man or woman and in the next room are 1,000 people
waiting for us to end the interview and then walk into their room
and give them the only information they will ever get that will make
their businesses successful or not. We have to give them definite,
specific, detailed information if they have any chance at all, and
we have to get that information from the interview.
